Over her 23+ years in real estate, Liz Wiederhold has listed and sold more than 1,000 properties across Asheville and Western North Carolina. Her perspective on real estate extends beyond brokerage; she is an active investor and hands-on renovator who has purchased, remodeled, and rented or resold numerous homes.

Because of her background in remodeling, Liz evaluates properties through a practical lens. Clients and colleagues frequently call on her to help evaluate a potential purchase, plan repairs or renovations, or determine which specific improvements will actually add value before a sale. Whether she is identifying the “good bones” in an older Asheville home or navigating the details of new construction, Liz is known for telling her clients when a property is a solid opportunity—and when it’s better to pass. As an Accredited Staging Professional, she helps sellers prepare their homes to stand out and attract strong offers, even in a competitive market.

Before real estate, Liz’s first career was in social services, working with runaways, troubled teens, and juvenile offenders. That experience taught her a deep respect for people’s individual stories and reinforced the idea that high-stakes decisions require caring, thoughtful guidance. To maintain that level of integrity, Liz does not represent both sides of a transaction, allowing her to focus entirely on being an objective advocate for her clients. She is known for her strong negotiation skills, attention to detail in contracts, and candid, practical advice throughout the process.

When she isn’t on a job site or at the closing table, Liz and her husband, Paul, volunteer with their church and local nonprofits. They enjoy time with their extended families, their two small dogs, and relaxing at their cottage on Siesta Key.
